Held October 9–10, 2026, around Sakurayama Hachiman Shrine, the Takayama Autumn Festival showcases magnificent floats with intricate mechanical puppets. The sight of lantern-lit floats parading through the streets is truly spectacular.
We recommend using shuttle buses to view the festival. Traffic restrictions are in place, so private vehicles cannot enter. Please arrange your transportation in advance and enjoy the festival responsibly.
